What we're doing to help

At present, we are working towards establishing an orphanage in Caracas, Venezuela.

Why Caracas, Venezuela?

Challenging economic conditions and natural disasters have left many families in Caracas in a state of extreme poverty. According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) at least 21 per cent of children living in Caracas under the age of 5 are malnourished to some degree. Many more children living in Caracas are subjected to violence at home, are abandoned, and are forced to live on the streets. In fact, it is estimated that there are currently over 100,000 children in Caracas without permanent living arrangements and nearly 15,000 children that have been forced to live on the streets.

Inspiring a Foundation

Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy living environment for as many of these children as possible so that they may have an opportunity to grow and learn with confidence and success. Ideally, these children will be the foundation for positive change in the community in the future and will inspire others to promote the well-being of children living in Caracas.

How you can help

Global Summit will be sponsoring a variety of charity events in our local communities to raise funds and awareness for the children living in Caracas. For instance, this May a few group members, friends, and family members will be participating in the Madison Marathon!
